―Why did you decide to join the company?

The year I graduated from school, the production site for our electrical wire
manufacturing machines was established in
Isawa-cho (now, Isawa-ku, Ōshū City).
As my first step as a working adult, I felt that I wanted to be involved
in building a new business, so I decided to enter the company. At that time,
our production ability was not sufficiently ready, and I still remember vividly
how together with the other 20 employees there,
we built the place from the ground up, from choosing the furniture,
to selecting our vendors, making our rule manual, etc.

―What kind of work are you doing now?

I am in charge of all indirect operations, such as accounting, general affairs, and personnel. In all affairs both within the company
and outside, I strive to work with sincerity and integrity so as not to mar the image of the company.
Because there is a lot of work to be done in management, I would like to be an even steadier, more reliable support for everyone.

―When do you feel most fulfilled?

In this type of industry, there are of course many men in the workplace; when
I’m given work that has the same level of responsibility as my male colleagues,
I feel happy and fulfilled. Recently, I’ve been tasked with hiring activities,
and my opinion is asked on whether or not to hire somebody,
and my thinking is often reflected in the outcome.

―What is the appeal of working at Kinrei?

At our company, there is an environment in which employees think for
themselves and speak their opinions freely, and there is a firmly rooted climate
where one’s abilities are valued. I can say that this is a company culture in which
it is very easy to work. The opportunities to learn are also fulfilling, and I believe this is an attractive environment for those seeking
personal growth.
int4The challenges I faced as a student are now
being put to good use in the workplace

―What was your impression of Kinrei before joining,
and what is it now?

When I was a high school student, I came on a field trip to Kinrei’s factory.
Up until that point, I had imagined factories to be dirty places, but when
I actually saw the place, it was clean and well organized, and all the
employees were working while communicating with each other cheerfully.
I felt deeply that this was a great workplace with a very positive
atmosphere. My impression is the same now as it was 5 years ago, and I work
every, full of energy, alongside my cheerful coworkers.

―What kind of work are you doing now?

I’m putting to use the knowledge I gained at my vocational high school.
Although accounting is my main work, I feel I am being given all kinds
of learning opportunities, such as when I get office work transferred
over from our headquarters. Because accounting is vital work that
connects, through numbers, directly to management activities, I work
hard to communicate everything in my reports and communications.

―Please talk about your future goals.

I want to make an operations manual that people will be able to easily understand. Also, while planning how to improve efficiency
in our office management, I would like, as one employee of Kinrei, to work hard to contribute to the company and the region.

―What message would you have for students

For all students working to find employment, I would like for them to challenge themselves in all kinds of ways while in school.
In my case, I feel I am putting to good use the bookkeeping qualification I attained while in school, and the experience I had
in my computer club is useful in the technical aspects of my work. So, I would like everybody to work hard and consider
lots of choices.
